Grand Challenge Workshops
To drive innovation in rehabilitation, the EPSRC Rehabilitation Technologies Network+ hosted four Grand Challenge Workshops focussed on the four clinical focus areas of this grant: cardiorespiratory, musculoskeletal, neurological and cross-cutting mental health in comorbidity conditions.
Experts from research, clinical practice, industry, and patient communities collaborated to identify challenges, create a shared language, and codevelop forward-looking project proposals and solutions.

Funded projects
Eight projects were funded over four rounds, involving 39 investigators from 28 UK institutions, including Higher Education NHS Trusts and hospitals and companies.
All were completed as planned, with early results already demonstrating impact in their fields. Project leads have disseminated their findings through publications, conferences and collaborative networks, helping to ensure the knowledge gained reaches both academic and clinical audiences. Many are now seeking further funding to build on this progress, supporting ongoing innovation in rehabilitation science.
